The Dogs

This is Sophie & Sugar about 2 years ago, we just love our dogs so much and it’s crazy how we can get so attached to them. Sophie was my wife’s parents dog but really she was just like their little kid and they took her everywhere they went. Sadly, Sophie passed away in April of 2010, just a month before our wedding and a few months before here 12th Birthday. It was so hard on everyone to lose her and I think even Sugar was sad, too. Sugar really looked up to her and they even looked alike and would be mistaken for Mom and baby and best thing was that they were both rescue dogs.

Now this is Max, another rescue dog, he is 7 years old and just went through a major surgery and we are happy to say that he now has many more years with us. It was a tough several weeks but are all so glad Macky is still around. We call him the gentle giant because for such a big dog, he is really very gentle with people. He loves to chase squirrels and small animals and he may just want to eat Sugar but we won’t let him.
